About the Trip
In November 2025, I (Chris) recently returned from Japan, where I had the privilege of serving with Word of Life alongside their team in Tokorozawa, a suburb of Tokyo. Earlier this year, the ministry relocated to this area—home to nearly 40 million people—in order to expand opportunities for evangelism, discipleship, and outreach among Japanese youth.
God graciously provided Word of Life with a new building that will become their future ministry center, and during our trip we were able to make major progress preparing that space for ministry. Our team of 11 people from the USA worked hard each day and, by God’s grace, accomplished everything we set out to do—and even more. We completed key renovation work including flooring installation, wall construction, electrical setup, drywalling, and painting.
Because of what was accomplished, this facility is now much closer to being fully functional for the next season of ministry. It will soon be used for offices, the English-language discipleship school (SYME), evangelistic English cafés, and many other gospel-centered events focused on reaching and equipping the next generation of Japanese young people.
Thank you to everyone who partnered through prayer and support. We truly saw God provide strength, unity, and favor throughout the trip, and with everything we did, we give Him all the glory.
